What a Halfl Share Covers

• Weekly box of seasonal vegetables sourced from Chosen Family Farm.

• Typical contents: varying by season (greens, root vegetables, tomatoes, squash, herbs, etc.).

• Packed and distributed weekly June - September.

• One Half Share is intended for a household of 1-2.

How the Pay It Forward Gift Works

• Purchase one or more Half Shares at the standard share price.

• You may choose whether the recipient is:

  • Identified by the donor (you provide recipient information), or

  • Kept anonymous and matched by the farm to a household in need.

• Donor can opt to add a note of goodwill to be shared with recipient.

• The farm coordinates delivery or pickup details directly with the recipient, respecting privacy and dignity.

Price and Payment

• Half Share price: $350 This covers the full share for the season.

• Payment accepted by the farm via established payment methods

• Donations are non-refundable; if a share cannot be delivered, the farm will reallocate funds to support food-access programs.

Eligibility and Matching

• Recipients may include low-income households, seniors on fixed incomes, unhoused individuals/families, or others facing food insecurity.

• The farm partners with local organizations and uses intake processes to ensure shares reach households with the greatest need.

• Matching prioritizes households who will benefit most from regular, fresh produce.

Duration and Scheduling

• A Pay It Forward share follows the same schedule as a paid Half Share (weekly pickups during the share season).

• Start date and duration will align with the farm’s current CSA season; donors will be notified of the season dates at purchase.

Privacy and Communication

• Donor information is kept confidential unless the donor opts to share contact details with the recipient.

• The farm will notify donors when a share has been distributed, unless anonymity is requested.

• Recipients are treated with respect; the process is designed to minimize stigma.

How to Purchase

• Indicate whether you want to:

  • Provide recipient contact info, or

  • Allow the farm to match anonymously.

• Optionally include a brief message to accompany the share.

• Complete payment to finalize the gift.
